Day tripper

The forecast held up again today so we headed to the coast to make the most of the bright dry and warmish weather, before it all changes!

We parked at the old Lytham St Annes Pier, a first visit to this part of Lytham for us.......to be honest not overly impressed, prefer the part further along near the Windmill.

The best thing about today was this section of the promenade where these little beach huts are all lined up like soldiers in row! Apparently they are availble to rent! Another shot in extras too.

We had lunch in the seafront cafe....not such a good decision as it turned out, hub really fancied fish & chips, looked lovely when it came, but the fish was wet and mushy, definitely not cod, more likely tilapia or similar, and my jacket potato wasnt great either, heyho! We didnt spot the much better looking Fish& Chip cafe besides the old Pier until afterwards :-( They were selling fresh crab sandwiches......hub treated himself to one for his lunch tomorrow, with a chorley cake!

Despite everything, still enjoyable in terms of fresh air and exercise oh and we had a nice coffee in Costa too ;-)
