Homeward bound
Bed by 10.45 last night, so tired....lack of sleep, sea air & lots of walking finished us off ;-)
Slept like a log too, didn't wake at all until 6 then off again until just after 8. Up showered, packed, and downstairs by 9.30.
Sis had been up and out, kindly got hub his paper, none of us had bothered for the 5 days we've been together. We had a nice egg & bacon breakfast to keep us going, before saying our goodbyes. Think we all felt the time had gone a little too quickly.....hopefully it won't be another 16 months before our next get together :-/
As we left at 10.30 it was very grey and the rain started as we drove off. The journey was ok, not too busy, the rain was at its worst coming through the West Midlands, so much spray, especially on the long stretch with narrow lanes! We were held up on the M6 Toll, an accident saw all 3 lanes stopped for around 15mins. We were ready for a coffee as we arrived in town, so stopped off for a cappucino before heading home.
Todays blip was a quick dash outside to catch these canada geese, presumably heading South for the winter.....unlike us heading North, which incidentslly is noticably cooller today, a mere 13 degrees :-/
Bags unpacked, 3 loads of bedding/laundry done, bed remade, dinner courtesy of precooked meatballs in tomato sauce from the freezer with spaghetti :-)
Just caught up on Bake Off, hubs now watching something SciFi whilst I sm uploading my blip ;-)
I hope everyone heeds the new rules and regs to halt the spread, stay safe all.
