Nancy Smillie

At the time when we furnished and decorated the study in our new extension, it was possible to commission Nancy Smillie, via her shop in Princes Square, to create lamp bases and other pieces so that they would match and complement the decor. Still love the two resulting mixed-colour pieces; the third was a bowl we gave my parents on their ruby wedding.

Have spent this wet day in the study, racing through a Susan Hill novel. Excelllent book in the Serraillier series!
