Globe artichoke

The flower on the globe artichoke never fails to amaze me how pretty it is. I think i may have blipped this last year, but its so pretty and the bees love it.

Its a left over from the veg plot my son and his then partner used to tend in my garden. She grew it but it never seemed to come to anything then last year it came up and because i wasnt sure how to cook it i left it and it flowered.

It turned out a nice afternoon so i cut down a small tree that was in the wrong place and chopped it up for the brown bin..
