Lighting the night

There is currently a series of lighting installations in the Valley Gardens to celebrate the spa heritage and history of Harrogate.

This cylindrical rusty looking steel tower  is perforated with words associated with Harrogate's spa water heritage. It has caused some controversy, however, as the word 'Sulphur' is misspelled 'Sulpher'.
(you can see this in the photo.) I suspect this accident will have drawn more attention to the existence of the installation which may be to the organiser's benefit.

The extra is of lighting display created using powerful beams of light.
Apparently, in the Valley Gardens, a greater number of unique mineral springs come to the surface than at any other known place on earth
There are 36 wells within the lower area of the Valley Gardens which have been lit using beacons of light to create a 3-dimensional map of the wells. The beams of light move around gently and the effect is quite mesmerising.
