Goedenmiddag

…. is Dutch for 'Good Afternoon', and it was a very good afternoon for the Dutch, having secured gold and silver medals in the womens elite road race. 
These Dutch supporters were spotted eagerly watching the final minutes of the race on the big screen.
Do not adjust your screen, they really were dressed in vivid orange!
Orange is the colour of the Dutch Royal Family, which hails from the House of Orange. The colour orange has come to symbolize the country, and to signify national pride. The Dutch flag, however, consists of red, white and blue horizontal stripes.

In the first extra are some spectators sporting the colours of the Italian flag, although they do not appear to be displaying typical Italian exuberance.

The second extra is the winners on the podium. The bronze was won by Australia.

Another exciting day, and the town was packed.
