Thermals

It's the waters of Vichy that first made it famous and Napoleon III transformed the city following his use of them. In 1903, the Opera House, the Hall of Springs and a large bath designed in the eastern style were inaugurated. I can't speak from experience but apparently it tastes foul. The taste of the water was so bad that it was only drunk by people whose doctors forced it on them as medicine. I believe the water they bottle is a little better.

My blip is the rather ornate inside of the neo-moorish centre and I've added an extra of the outside. Another extra is of the lovely carriage we saw as we went out to dinner this evening.

We certainly haven't needed thermals today, it's been a lovely warm day. We even sat outside for dinner this evening watching the bats flying above us as the jackdaws circled and began to roost in the plane trees.
