Dropping

There was an odd peeping from the back yard. Investigation turned up a couple of lorikeet chicks with their parents. There's something really cute about the chicks - the more snub beak, the way the collar is right up on the head, the dark eyes... 

the ungainly funny way they hold their wings...

My pick for the day though, was this, just before one of them dropped (more so than flew) down to the fence.
