Thud, thud, thud

The walnuts are later this year by a good two weeks.  The first batch that dropped early September were spoilt for human consumption but will be OK for the birds.  the last week or so I have been collecting a lot and we are now finally getting the 'big' nuts and by looking at the tree(s) we will have a reasonable crop again this year.
