harvesting the grapes

we spent today in and around Sancerre. We visited the lovely village of Chavignol that's famous for its goats cheese but being a Sunday most places were closed. Then had a picnic amongst the many vines. Just as we finished we spotted the tractor winding its way up through the rows of vines. Unfortunately it then started pouring of rain just as I was trying to get this shot of the tractor head on. The extra is a view from our hotel window as the sun reappeared later that evening.
