Bury unburied

It was an absolutely beautiful start to the day. Popped into Bury with t'other arf to get a few things done and we strolled over to this site.

The impressive building is the old barracks of the Lancashire Fusiliers which is built on the site of Bury Castle. If you look at the link it was quite a rubbish castle in my humble opinion but its really cool that they excavated the old outer wall and moat and have left it on display.

The day got even better in the afternoon because it started to rain so i couldnt go up on the roof and repoint the ridge tiles as planned, top day all round :)

ps couldnt decide between this or the colour version? well obviously i could because i put this on but you know what i mean....
