Patchwork quilt

My mum makes beautiful patchwork quilts! This is one she made for the cot I have for my grandson when he stays.
She has made so many over the years, for my daughters, for friends and their children, and often she donates the colourful ones to Yorkhill Children's Hospital to cheer up little ones who are poorly.
I'm sorry to say I have not inherited her skill, or patience. She would really love to have been a seamstress or costume designer, but the war was on when she left school, and she became a secretary instead. Still she has enjoyed sewing all her life- and she is now 85.
Not bad going, huh?
