Afternoon sky
The sun came out this afternoon, and by the time I got home about 3.30 I could see a nice sky developing, so I took a walk to the end of our road, where there is an open view across the fields to Tinto Hill.
Our local hill walk, Tinto Hill is 707m high and about a 4.5 mile round trip with 450m of height gain. At the top there is the biggest cairn in Scotland dating from the Bronze Age, and there is also evidence of an Iron Age fort visible on the way down. On a clear day the views are fantastic - you can see across to Arran, to the Lake District, to the Arrochar Alps to the North and some say you can even see the Mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland!
A less busy day today, had to spend some time at the office, then do some jobs at Iain's flat, including taking him to Tesco for supplies, as his shopping buddy is sick today. Tonight has in store body combat, a nice bath and an appointment with the polar bears at 9.30 on BBC2.
wine: none - feeling very virtuous!
treat: the remaining two Quality Street in Iain's box
halo: getting brighter, as long as I don't fall off the wagon!
