The proof of the pudding...

...is in the eating!

A miserable dark, wet morning so the candles were lit for when my book group friends arrived. The book, ‘The Birth of Venus’ by Sarah Dunant, was a huge success, as was the cake, an Italian Orange and Polenta Cake, especially as I served it with double cream!

Then this afternoon I put the heating on, dosed myself up with paracetamols, and curled on the sofa with an old film...
