Beach Boy

As Alan was working from home today, I decided to carry on with the 'take one dog out', and today was Milou's turn.  He was such a good boy, so different to when I take them out together!  We walked down to the beach and I let him off his lead, and he didn't venture far and came back to me when I called him.  When they're together he takes no notice!

At lunch time Kate picked me up as we were going to the Whitecliffs Cafe for lunch to celebrate Karen's birthday.  When I'd booked the table I'd told them it was Karen's birthday lunch and they surprised us all with bringing out a big dessert to share, but they sang 'happy birthday' and all the other diners joined in.

After lunch, the girls came back to ours (we had to be quiet because Alan was working from home and was in a meeting), and we went to the Palace for a drink.   It was a lovely day with lovely friends.

Tonight, Alan and I have spent a couple of hours in the Palace and we opened a bottle of fizz to celebrate our anniversary the other week :-)
