Down by the Riverside

Mostly dull with some sunshine.

The Robin has been about for a few weeks but not been able to take much of a shot of it, however, this morning it was sitting in the branch above the feeder, attacking the three Sparrows feeding there.   Eventually they did leave and the Robin decided to have a try.   Not seen it on the nuts before.

Out for a walk this afternoon, the sun came out and it was lovely to be in the fresh air.   I walked around the back of the canal towads the River and made for a spot where I could see the weir and the water tumbling over the rocks and pebbles.   I spotted this Goosander (I think) contemplating the rushing water.   It was there for such a long time as though undecided if it was too rough or not!   (See Extras)

Later up to Mum's to make our usual Saturday evening meal of Lamb chops - once again we enjoyed them.
