Taking a Break

I went for a short walk in the lovely sunshine this morning after posting a birthday card.

I went by the allotments and, as always, good to look down on the plots and inspect the produce.   This gardener was taking a break, and on further inspection he was engrossed in his phone, perhaps checking on the weather for the next week.

In extras a large Squash? and a plot given over to flowers, which is nice to see.   I think these allotments have been so important to many during this last six months.   A place to escape to from the daily round of news.   A chance to engage with nature.   I understand there is a long waiting list for Allotments up and down the country as more interest (for now) has been shown in the huge benefits of gardening.
