Another day of this and that.
Managed to get another batch of barley dried in a brief dry spell , then had to go and collect Junior and girlfriend from Musselburgh . Both looking a bit under par after his birthday night out .
Back home and a cow that had mastitis earlier on in the summer is thinking of calving. We were all going out for a family meal for Junior’s 18th birthday so gave her the benefit of the doubt and left her to it. When we got back I went out to the field on the quad and eventually managed to find her in the rushes with a big red calf beside her. It is fine and sheltered so left them alone. Will need to bring them in tomorrow and see if she has any working tits left. Knowing my luck she probably won’t ! Ho hum.
