Joy on the Beach

Stopped off on way to Lisbon for bifanas (sautéed pork sandwiches) with Padre Luís, and then decided that, instead of showing Tom round Lisbon, we'd cross back over the Tagus on the 25 de Abril bridge, and walk along the beach at Caparica. Great decision.

Driving home, got a message from the Padre, inviting us for dinner, he'd finished his services for the day. We'd already eaten, but called in for a chat, and ended up at a concert in one of his new churches. Excellent music, ranging from Zulu songs, to spirituals, to Coldplay, to Matt Redman's 10,000 Reasons, to a great song, Loucos de Lisboa, by Ala dos Namorados, that everyone except us seemed to know and love.

Julia and Tom landed in Manchester exactly as we landed back here in Mourão.
