winter cheer

Took Laura back to the airport on Sunday, always a sad duty, even though I know she's happy in Berlin. We visited Ware on the way home, we used to live there 20 plus years ago. I didn't feel much of a connection, and the high street is looking a bit tired, still, good to have a break.
First full week back at work began reasonably well, there's plenty of work, though currently a lack of direction. Today brought a moment of fun planning presents for a colleague who's leaving, starting with a "worst case scenario - meetings" handbook. Lunch with Ithaca, at the garden centre was a good interlude, found these pansies there - they added some colour to the grey day.
