Staff training - alpine style

Today was the first day of the new term and for most teachers I know that involves lots of meetings but here it involves avalanche training (and of course the meetings too) - it is so nice to get out in the fresh air and refresh our skills of using transceivers, shovels and probes... a big part of school life here is expeditions which in the winter is often ski touring so this sort of training is essential. This photo shows our group walking down through the woods in glorious sunshine - a great way to spend a morning.
