Toronto Day 1
Our plans to take the tourist bus to see the sights did not materialise as we found we could do most of the main sights on foot. We visited the CN tower and the aquarium ( both excellent and not very busy ) before lunch in the St Lawrence market and a visit to the distillery district and the Royal Ontario museum in the afternoon. We took the subway to the museum where I found the exhibit on First Nation people most interesting. Noticeably less French spoken here, with a city appearance not unlike New York with massive skyscrapers aplenty with a scattering of some older buildings.
My gran emigrated here briefly in the 1920s from Ayrshire but only lasted a couple of years before returning home. Her sister stayed and settled and my dad has some elderly cousins scattered around the area.
