The End of the Day

It's been a few years since I last went to the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, set in the South Downs National Park. The museum rescues rural homes and buildings which tell the stories of the people who lived and worked in rural South East England over 1,000 years. 

One of the museum's barns is currently used by the BBC's "Repair Shop" programme, which restores precious items for people.  As they are filming the current series, the area itself (extra) is out of bounds, but I did see a small film crew interviewing someone.

The main shot is one of the last shots of the day as I looked through the Toll Gate (from Beeding) back to the Market Square featuring the Titchfield Market Hall, Horsham Medieval Shop and Crawley Hall.  You can also just see a corner of the North Cray Medieval House (extra), which used to be located near my childhood home, but being recognised as a Wealden Hall was dismantled and stored by Bexley Borough Council when a new road was built, before being donated to the museum.
