Traganou

The weather forecast for Tuesday was not good: thunderstorms and heavy rain from 10am - 4pm. We decided that this would be a good day to hire a car and see a bit more of the island, stopping for coffee and/or food if the weather got too bad.

Thankfully, although the clouds were menacing, our first downpour didn't come until about 11am. By this time, we had made our first detour to Traganou Beach, where today's Blip was taken. We then travelled inland and took the roads through the centre of the island, visiting a toy museum at Archipoli, a quirky folklore museum at Lardos and had an excellent lunch at Gennadi. The weather, while not great, was considerably better than forecast.

We then headed back up the coast road to Lindos and spent a little time there. (We had stopped at Lindos earlier in the day, but couldn't get parked anywhere, so decided to come back later.) Didn't leave ourselves enough time to see around the Acropolis (at €12 per person!) but none of us was particularly bothered.

For an 'indoors if wet' kind of day, we did OK getting out and about on our last full day on the island.
