Anyone for Croquet? and a surprise opening.

Nearing the end of the visitor season at Hill of Tarvit.

The Sharp family provided many opportunities of entertainment for their friends and relations and the National Trust continues the tradition.

It is a sunny morning and the croquet mallets are ready to be used along with hickory shafted putters for putting and clock golf.

And the surprise? California Girl is an expert on French furniture  and there are many items in the Sharp Collection.

Frederick had collected many desks, and two of the finest examples had remained locked as the keys had been mislaid.

However the keys have been found and both desks were open for inspection.

The first visitor tour were able to see the desks open before they were closed again and the keys carefully put away.
