Matrix III
Good news and bad news today
To get the bad news out of the way, mrsfb had her purse stolen while we were packed liked sardines on a Jubilee line train on our way to Canary Wharf. She realised it was gone as we sat down for a coffee, at about the same time as text messages started pinging in asking about suspicious credit and debit card transactions. We cancelled the cards and will get our money back but it is still a pain. Also there are other people to contact, including British Transport Police, the Met police and DVLA. Mrsfb is most upset about losing this! If we don't get it back I will have to take her on the Severn Valley Railway again :-) It would be nice to go again anyway.
For the good news in the morning we were treated with a visit to the Antony Gormley exhibition at the Royal Academy. It was brilliant. The blips show Matrix III, 21 suspended and intersecting room size mesh cages, surrounding a small void at the centre, 'the space of dreaming'. I love the way you interact with his sculptures. Daughter#1 is in the main blip with Joe, nearly one year old now and nearly walking too. Not sure what he is thinking about as he looks up at the cages. We (not mrsfb and Joe) also went into The Cave, a huge sculpture which you have to feel your way through in darkness before reaching the centre. Such a talent.
In the afternoon we successfully collected Rory from school while daughter#1 took Joe swimming.
What a day!
