Premier Kitchens was due to come this morning to look at our water softener; they arrived at 1300 hours. We thought it was faulty as water was gushing out of the normal waste pipe when nothing was running. However, it seems that it does this when it is “regenerating”. We were not provided with a manual, which might have explained this and we also learnt that the water softener needs to be serviced. The fitter is going to ask them to send us a manual.
 
A day of catching up with indoor jobs as tomorrow is another Addenbrookes hospital day, for my new cataract to be checked and hopefully a new date set for the right eye to be done.

The temperature at GMT noon was fourteen degrees Celsius; the cats have been out, very briefly, but it is not a day for outdoor activities.
