Wonderful exotica

A sunny start to the day, but it didn't last. We managed to find our way to the Lost Gardens of Heligan which are only ten minutes or so away from where we're staying.

It stayed dull for most of the day, but not to worry. Many of the plants are recognisable as grown at Arduaine, but in huge numbers. Instead of a few tree ferns there are hundreds, or even thousands. Quite amazing. I bought my last plant of the holiday - Schefflera delavayi, expensive at £34.95, but half-price in the sale. How could I resist it!
