Autumn Leaves
Another brilliant blue-sky day here in Portland, Oregon. The sky is an almost impossible shade of blue and the deciduous trees that are turning are just stunning against it.
I popped out to the garden after a long day...just in time to catch my Coral Bark Japanese Maple glowing in the late afternoon sun.
The extras are of Parrotia persica, or Persian Ironwood - related to the Witch Hazel Family. The other is Loropetalum chinese - Chinese Fringe Flower, which, oddly enough, has a number of blooms on it right now.
Tomorrow I hope to capture some of the stunning maples that are glowing a brilliant scarlet against the sky.
