Morelia Centro

Our usual modus operandi is to arrive in Morelia one day and depart early the next morning for Zihuatanejo, after an hour-long visit at Costco. Because our apartment is being painted, we decided to make this trip a two night stay. That allowed us to explore more than just the area immediately surrounding our hotel, which led us to this newly built mall with an amazing view of the downtown core (photo of the centro above). The Paseo Altozano is reached by a very steep road up the side of the hills south of town and is filled with high-end stores not found elsewhere in this part of Mexico. Made for a fun change of pace.
