Going to Pot

Our anniversary on Tuesday was our 8th - which traditionally is either bronze or pottery. I didn't need much more invitation - I've always wanted to try pottery, so setup a little workshop at the Cyan Clayworks (which I can now heartily recommend). 

We got to try out some slip glazing on tiles, handbuilt/pressed bowls, and then just simply had to hit the stereotype and have a go on the wheel. We made two bowls each on that - the first one at a time with the teacher very hands on; the second we went at the same time on facing wheels, with the teacher going between us.

So much fun over the three hours, and we'll see the results post-firing in about 3 weeks.
