Compton Verney

We went to Compton Verney this morning.  They have a new exhibition, Magnum Manifesto, photos of the Magnum Photos agency covering 70 years.  From the web site.......

Magnum Photos represents some of the world’s most renowned photographers, sharing a vision to chronicle world events, people, places and culture with a powerful narrative that defies convention, redefines history and transforms lives. This autumn we are honoured to host Magnum Manifesto, an essential collection of the agency’s most significant and enduring images.

Featuring group and individual projects, the exhibition includes magazine spreads, newspaper articles, excerpts from books, and other rarely-seen material, putting some of the world’s most recognisable images in a creative context. The exhibition captures over 70 years of history and presents the greatest events of the era alongside the more commonplace moments of everyday life.

It is an extensive and very good exhibition and well worth seeing.  I've added the poster to the extras.

Although it was raining this morning it cleared up by the time we'd had a drink and viewed the exhibition so we were able to have a walk round the grounds before leaving. I know this is the classic view of Compton Verney, but the bridge was empty, the light just nice and there was an interesting cloud formation.  So here it is!
