Flaming Sumac + Friends

We went to the nearby Fort River refuge (after midday) for the first time since a single visit in August. It was a lovely fall day, with leaves beginning to show real color.  There's a great deal of sumac throughout, all vividly red.  Our friends Marge and Steve had stayed the night and came along, as you see in the extra; they returned to Westchester after a very late lunch (more on them here).  The Yankees and Astros are tied 2-2 after the 10th inning as I revise this.
