Kathy...

We're back in rainy Dorset after our all too short visit to Helen and Ron's little farm in Devon.

Our niece Kathy has become an accomplished horsewoman and she has some really good class horses to work with. I was hoping to make a photograph of her on Lexie with my 4 x 5in film camera to try and capture that 'vintage' look of a Victorian Lady riding out side-saddle...

Kathy does a bit of that, competes in side-saddle classes as well as giving demonstrations.

Unfortunately the weather continues breezy and rainy so not really practical to get that camera out, but we did manage this image despite the rain... I'll admit achieved more through digital manipulation than original camera exposure...
