Pulpit Rock Portland Bill

It's been a lovely day today and we made the most of it...

This morning I was up and out early for that dawn shot of The Cobb I had promised myself, the sunrise was nothing notable but even so I was pleased with the result. (see the extra)

We then went for a walk at Hardy's Memorial (Captain Hardy not Thomas Hardy... Captain of The Victory at Trafalgar) Lots of fresh air but quite warm and only a gentle breeze.

After a very nice lunch at The White Swan at Abbotsbury we went on to Portland Bill to explore the old quarries and coastline there. Pulpit Rock is a famous attraction there and I was pleased with the photo.

The lighthouse had scaffolding on it!
