Flowers

A day of heating... I started the day with no heating at work and no heating at home.  Early afternoon it was starting to get pretty darn cold in the office and lo and behold, there was a clunking of pipes and half an hour later I was feeling way too hot!  Amazing, I really thought they would hold off  until mid-next week.  The Director of Estates must have been feeling the chill today... 

I worked from home towards the end of the day as our plumber amazingly was working near by and could fit us in.  He has somehow tickled our boiler into action and we have heating and hot water at home... No-one is sure how long the boiler will go on, a few days, a few months, a few years... we shall see... I'm hoping we can get ourselves at least a year out of it! 

The boys are delighted to have their toys back down stairs, it makes concentrating at meal times a little tricky, as they want to go and explore their toys, but it's lovely to have them back down stairs. My flower order arrived today, I'd forgotten to cancel it.  Have just closed my account - down to the market each week / fortnight for me to get fresh flowers from now on. 

Loving cooking with my new oven and hob.  HURRAH!! I think all the pain is well worth it (and will be even better when we have the sink and the final floor laid!)

I think I'm finally feeling a little more on top of things!
