Survivors
Guess at times we all are.
Crocus tournefortii, nesting in the growth of an onosma. The flowers on this species stay open at night and in bad weather. Beautiful but fragile. Special.
A productive morning as having dropped Jacinta at the station at 730 I hit the allotment and got a couple of hours digging done. Plenty more awaits but my stamina was waning and there were other jobs to do at home. Seed of crocuses and other bulbs planted this afternoon before a talk tonight to Langley with Hardley WI. Two small villages off the beaten track in the Yare valley. Norfolk has a fair few places where phone signal dies - this was one of them! A small but friendly group, the talk about alpines titled 'Peaks and Troughs' had been mis-advertised on the village website as 'Pigs and Troughs' so we started with a good laugh :-)
