Autumn colours at Hill of Tarvit
After more "driech" weather the house was bathed in bright sunshine displaying autumn colours to their best advantage.
Another opportunity to welcome visitors and show them the wonderful craftsmanship that is the hallmark of the family home of the Sharp Family.
While we have a "must, could and should" list to give on our guided tours we always try to present it in a manner which we think will appeal to individuals and small groups.
Today was a very successful day. It is most gratifying when visitors, give a round of applause, or come up and give you a handshake or have a further discussion about some painting or architectural feature.
What is even more gratifying is when visitors who have been on a guided tour come back into the house when it is in "open guiding" where visitors can wander where they will and can examine the collection and house at their own pace.
The guides who gave the tour are available to chat together with additional guides.
Today we were joined by a new guide, whose specialty is Billiards and who can demonstrate and teach technique on our full-size billiard table.
