Edge of the world?

We had planned a detour to the east for our way back northwest from Otepää. The weather wasn't good, and we were unsure, if we should take the long way, but after some shopping and a lunch in Tartu, we deciced to do it anyway. We headed to Kallaste on the shore of Lake Peipus, Peipsi järv in Estonian.

We had a joke about the name so closely resembling Pepsi, but despite some foam on top of the waves, Jussi came to the conclusion that the lake is not filled with cola drink. In the main blip he's checking it out on the edge. Not the edge of the world though.

The town of Kallaste is built on top of a sandstone cliff which is a few metres high and 930 metres long, called Kallaste outcrop. A view from top of the cliff along the beach in extra #1, the cliff in extra #2. A street view nearby in extra #3.

It might not be noticeable from the photos, but there was constant drizzle while we were on the beach and I couldn't avoid the front element of the lens getting very wet. It has surprisingly little effect on the photos though, and luckily the camera body and the lens are weather resistant.
