Copinsay and lapwings

I hadn't been out to Deerness for some weeks and went today in spite of the weather being dull and grey, as it has been, largely, for weeks. The sun show itself for short periods, but it was very shy.
It was quiet too for birds- a couple of woodcock, a male hen harrier and a sparrowhawk were good.
