We decided to visit Fountains Abbey en route home,  it is such an interesting National Trust site, you really do need a whole day to explore it all.    The weather has been so kind to us over the last two weeks and now (Saturday) is a blue sky day so one load of washing has just finished and it's back down to earth with a huge bump after two fantastic weeks away.
Extras are of the Abbey ruins, a willow sculpture and some traditional bee hive skeps (so lovely to see).
