The Hickory Tree

After a few jobs this morning we went off to NT Sheffield Park and Garden this afternoon.  It had been advertised on their Facebook account that the hickory tree, just past the visitor entrance was in colour.  When I worked there they always said that this marked the true start of the autumn colours.

We got parked with no issues although there was a rather confusing sign at the bottom of the drive saying the car park was full.  Being later in the day, cars were leaving as quickly as arriving so overall there was no major delay getting parked.

After seeing the hickory tree we had a quick wander around the garden and lakes, see a few views in my extras.  The colour was stunning and the garden busy but with careful positioning you can almost make the people disappear.

After all the recent rain it was so lovely to get out and about in the late afternoon sunshine.
