Blue Heron At The Pond

A rather rainy, soggy day today...but a blue heron graced the pond late this afternoon, so it made up for the dreariness of it all.

We've had massive numbers of cackling geese flying through and landing out back, and it's such a spectacle. I am really enjoying them, but it's really a change from the last few years, and I'm not sure why? It does make you wonder WHY things change year to year, and if it is telling us something.

The weather yesterday was in the high 50's...which of course has everything wondering if it's spring or winter...maybe it is confusing the wildlife too!!
