Before Video

Long before we had video and 35mm slides people were touring foreign  lands and bringing back records of their visits on glass slides which were shown by magic lantern. This it part of a selection of lantern slides given to me by an Uncle which he used to tour village halls. By now he used  
 35mm film and slides and I can remember going with him to church halls to show to show pictures of his holidays in Scotland. It must be in our blood as I also used to tour East Devon with a slide show but by then I was using a twin projector unit with syncretised sound system !!
