Cocktails and Thai lunch

Friends, Martin, Chris and Steve took us out to lunch today. Fortunately they weren't working this week and we were able to celebrate Ian's birthday which is actually tomorrow.

We went to Giggling Squid in Chislehurst, where we had already enjoyed lunch and could recommend their wonderful Thai cuisine and ambience.

We had cocktails and then chose our food from the extensive vegan menu. It was delicious and full of delicate flavours and colours.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a theme of flowers and plants, and sea creatures such as squid sea urchins and jellyfish. The artwork and panels adorning the walls are very colourful.

A great Thai lunch and good company, and a great start to Ian's birthday.
