Another beautiful day

The sun has shone for Ian's birthday and we set off at midday for a one night break in a country house hotel in Surrey.

For once the M25 wasn't a standstill and the journey took only 45 minutes. We decided to visit Cobham, which is nearby and is allegedly the most expensive place to buy a house after London. Chelsea Football team have their training ground at Stoke d'Abernon up the road from the hotel. Apparently it is the football equivalent of Fort Knox. No one is allowed unauthorised entry.

We found a lovely brasserie where people were sitting outside enjoying the afternoon sunshine. We joined them for a drink and light bite.

We had a short walk along the River Mole where I blipped the scene with the swans and ducks. It was good to see the sky a bright cloudless blue once again.

We are now enjoying a complimentary cocktail relaxing on the comfy sofas in the hotel's lounge area.
