Love a Sunset
Mr W, Fluffy Legs and I went to Rottingdean to meet Karen and Alan for Lunch as a Belated Birthday treat for me.
I wanted to take Bella along the Undercliff Walk in Saltdean to give her a run before taking her to the pub so spent the time hiding a few HeartFreek Rocks while Mr W sat in the Whitecliff cafe. The weather was beautiful and I do believe I might have caught the sun a bit on my face. Quite a treat for October.
We then met up with Karen and Alan and walked back along the Undercliff to Rottingdean where we enjoyed a lovely Roast in the Plough. It was great to catch up with them both. Sadly, while we were there, an elderly gentleman choked on his food. His family tried repeatedly to dislodge the bit of food with the help of the pub staff. It was the most awful thing to watch and I so wanted to help being a retired nurse but I knew I didnt have the strength in my shoulder for the action to have been effective. I ended up having to leave the pub as it was too upsetting to watch. My step mother also had a similar situation last year but my sister was on hand to deal with it. She too is a nurse with ITU experience. Thank god she was with her mum at the time.
Anyway, the gentleman left in an ambulance with his family, we finished our puddings and walked back along the Undercliff to Whitecliffs cafe for a few drinks and I pointed Karen in the direction of a few HeartFreekRocks. One had already been found and this picture was posted on Instagram with the Glorious sunset we saw, but sadly left before the sky turned an amazing shade of salmon pink. I wish we had stayed just a little bit longer but the sunny day had turned into a very chilly evening and I was shattered.
Bella too was totally shattered and slept all evening which was lovely and relaxing for me being her primary carer!!!!
Thank you Karen and Alan for a lovely day. Always great to see you. xXx
