Sunshine shimmer

Didnt sleep particularly well last night, but we had committed to venture out as the forecast was for dry and bright weather.

We opted to head to the coast, Anthony Gormleys statues at Crosby won the day.....and what a good choice it was. Glorious blue skies and bright sunshine, a bit breezy, but lovely!!

We had to call into Crosby coffee, obviously, had two cups in fact, and a toasted bagel, plus a slice of apple cake for hub, all very nice, before walking onto the promenade. The wind has deposited large mounds of sand in places, which we had to clamber over, which didnt do hubs knee nor sciatica much good at all, but we managed 8k steps nonetheless :-)

Todays blip is the view that we were met with as we walked between the sand dunes and onto the coastal path.......looking pretty nice in the sunshine, with one of the ironmen for good measure too ;-)
