Jet Age Museum, Gloucester

This is a Gloster Meteor, the first British jet fighter.

The Jet Age Museum is run by volunteers and is very worth visiting if you have any interest in British military aviation in the early jet age, or just if you like shiny space-age machines (and, really, who doesn't like shiny space-age machines?). They have the nose section of a Vulcan which you can go inside: the people who flew those things must have been brave, although I expect they did not think of themselves as being so.
