Flood

The village where we live is regularly cut off by floods when we have rain like we had today.   Despite that,  all the houses are built safely above the flood plain.

We knew we were in for trouble when the road at the end of our road turned into a raging torrent.  The only time we have any problem is when there are heavy thundery downpours and our garage sometimes floods from surface water. 

Today all the roads into the village were flooded briefly causing several cars to get stuck and needing recovery (see extra)
